Alexander Bateman is a Partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., where he is the co-chair of the firm’s Health Law Department, White Collar Crime and Investigations Practice Group, and Not for-Profit Practice Group. He is also a member of the firm’s Crisis Management, Veterinary Law, Corporate Governance, and Securities Disputes and Enforcement practice groups.
Alexander’s work primarily involves representing healthcare professionals and companies in the areas of federal and state criminal and regulatory matters, such as Medicare/Medicaid fraud and professional disciplinary proceedings. He is active in developing and implementing corporate compliance programs, as well as regularly conducting internal investigations for clients. He also represents clients during the investigation and prosecution stages of all types of white collar matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Alexander was a trial attorney with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office where he investigated and prosecuted cases in the areas of felony street crimes, organized crime, narcotics, sex crimes and political corruption.
Alexander is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Health Law Section and a former chair of that section’s Committee on Licensed Professionals. Alexander is also a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and the Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association. Alexander is also a board member and former Board chair of the United Way of Long Island
