Alexander Bateman is a Partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., where he is the co-chair of the firm’s Health Law Department, White Collar Crime and Investigations Practice Group, and Not-for-Profit Practice Group. He is also a member of the firm’s Crisis Management Practice Group, Veterinary Law Practice Group.
Alexander’s work involves representing healthcare professionals and companies in the areas of federal and state criminal and regulatory matters, such as Medicare/Medicaid fraud and professional disciplinary and hospital privilege proceedings. Alexander counsel’s the firm’s healthcare clients concerning a myriad of issues, becoming a trusted advisor. He is active in a conducting compliance and internal investigations for clients as well. Alexander’s defense of state and federal white collar matters includes, but is not limited to, healthcare fraud matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Alexander was a trial attorney with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office where he investigated and prosecuted cases in the areas of felony street crimes, organized crime, white collar fraud, narcotics, sex crimes and political corruption.
Alexander is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Health Law Section and a former chair of that section’s Committee on Licensed Professionals. Alexander is also a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and the Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association. He is also a board member and immediate past board chair of the United Way of Long Island.
