LIA Chief Economist Pearl Kamer Featured Speaker

Uniondale, Long Island, New York, June 17, 2010  – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced today that it hosted two seminars exploring the impact of the federal Health Care Reform legislation at its Uniondale, New York offices. The initial seminar was held on June 8th; when that seminar date was quickly oversubscribed, a second seminar was scheduled on June 17 to accommodate the overflow crowd.

The seminar, moderated by Ruskin Moscou partner Alexander G. Bateman and entitled, “Navigating the New Health Reform Legislation: How Will Your Business Be Affected?” helped the business owners, senior executives, bankers, HR professionals and others in attendance to understand their responsibilities under the new law. Ruskin Moscou health law attorneys Jay B. Silverman and Ellen F. Kessler spoke on issues ranging from the changes relating to insurance coverages to provisions relating to Medicare. They also debunked common misconceptions associated with the new law. Featured speaker Dr. Pearl Kamer, chief economist for the LIA, addressed the economic impact of healthcare reform on Long Island.
