Uniondale, NY – January 15, 2026 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. is pleased to announce that Partner Lois Bladykas has been appointed Treasurer of the New York State Bar Association’s (NYSBA) Trusts and Estates Law Section and will serve on the Section’s Executive Committee.
The NYSBA Trusts and Estates Law Section is one of the Association’s largest and most active Sections, dedicated to advancing the practice of trusts and estates law and shaping legislative and professional developments at both the state and federal levels. The Section offers members opportunities for professional education, thought leadership, and collaboration through MCLE programs, publications, committees, and an engaged professional community.
Ms. Bladykas previously served as Co-Chair of the Section’s Legislation Committee and will work closely with fellow Section officers and Executive Committee members on a range of initiatives, including proposed trusts and estates legislation and collaboration with Surrogates, legislators, professional organizations, and other leaders of the Bar on issues impacting trusts and estates law and practice.
Ms. Bladykas is a Partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. and serves as Chair of the firm’s Estate and Trust Practice Group. She is a member of the firm’s Trusts & Estates Department, and the Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation, Dispute Resolution, Transactions, and Regulatory Problem Solving Practice Group.
Ms. Bladykas’ practice focuses on estate, trust and fiduciary litigation, including all manner of Surrogate’s Court proceedings such as probate contests, accounting proceedings, discovery and turnover proceedings, will and trust construction proceedings, and other complex disputes between beneficiaries and fiduciaries. This includes related litigation in New York State Supreme Court and appeals to the Appellate Divisions and the Court of Appeals. As a complement to her litigation practice, Ms. Bladykas has significant experience in estate administration, including handling probate and administration proceedings, preparing fiduciary accountings, and preparing federal and New York State estate tax returns.
Ms. Bladykas is an active member of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Trusts and Estates Law Section, where she serves as Co-Chair of the Legislation & Government Relations Committee, and of the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association, where she serves as Treasurer. Ms. Bladykas was a recipient of the 2024 Blank Slate Media 40 Under 40 Award, and 2019 Long Island Business News, Leadership in Law Award in the Associate category.
