Mr. Garbarino is co-chair of the firm’s White Collar Crime and Investigations and Crisis Management practice groups and a member of the firm’s Health Law Department, as well as the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy, Not-For-Profit, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Blockchain and Digital Asset practice groups. He represents corporations, hospitals, law firms, and individuals including CEOs, CFOs, lawyers, bankers, law enforcement personnel, and healthcare professionals accused of or affected by criminal, professional, or other misconduct. Mr. Garbarino has extensive experience with regulatory authorities, including the SEC, FINRA, and state bodies such as the Office of Professional Medical Conduct, Office of Professional Discipline, and Office of the Medicaid Inspector General. Mr. Garbarino advises law firms and attorneys on Attorney Grievance Committee inquiries and matters before the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct, and has managed numerous internal investigations for municipalities, hospitals, medical practices, law firms, and businesses. Mr. Garbarino often works with forensic experts, private investigators, and law enforcement, and has assisted clients with cybersecurity breaches and data privacy incidents involving insider theft, ransomware, and other intrusions. Mr. Garbarino serves as Vice President of the board of directors for the Association for Mental Health and Wellness, is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution and Criminal Justice Sections (serving on the White Collar and Ethics Committees), is a fellow of the New York State Bar Foundation, and participates in the American Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section, including the White Collar and Cyber Crime Committees.
Ms. Reed is a member of the firm’s Trusts and Estates Department and the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Estate, Trust, and Fiduciary Litigation practice group. Her practice includes Surrogate’s Court proceedings to appoint Executors or Administrators, SCPA Article 17 and 17-A guardianships, preparation and litigation of fiduciary accountings, and preparation of New York State and Federal estate tax returns. Ms. Reed is also qualified to serve as Guardian ad Litem and Mediator in Surrogate’s Court proceedings and is certified to act as counsel and court evaluator in Supreme Court guardianship matters. Ms. Reed serves as Co-Chair of the NY State Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section’s Trusts & Estates Committee, is a member of the NY State Office of Court Administration E-Filing Advisory Committee, and is the immediate past president of the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association. Ms. Reed is active in the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association. Ms. Reed has been recognized as an “Outstanding Woman in Law” by Hofstra University School of Law and Long Island Business News (2018), a Rising Star Attorney by Super Lawyers for eight consecutive years (through 2025), and a recipient of the Leadership in Law Award from Long Island Business News (2019). She is also listed in the 2025 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch™ in America for her work in Elder Law, Litigation – Trusts and Estates and Trusts and Estates Law.
Mr. Schoenberg is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Health Law Departments. He is also a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution, Employment, Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation, Dispute Resolution, Transactions, and Regulatory Problem Solving, and the Not-For-Profit Practice Groups. Mr. Schoenberg has substantial experience in both the federal and state courts, as well as before various arbitration and mediation forums, representing and counseling individuals and companies across many industries on a variety of complex commercial litigation issues, including shareholder/member disputes, dissolutions, business torts, trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition disputes, real estate disputes, and employment discrimination. Michael’s practice also includes litigating and advising Insurers, Insureds, and Policyholders on claims and defenses involving complex insurance coverage matters, including claims relating to professional liability, directors and officers, and errors and omissions. Mr. Schoenberg serves a member of the Board of Trustees of the LI Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, Board of Trustees of Congregation Beth Ohr, Bellmore, New York, as well as the Governing Board of L.I. Against Domestic Violence. Mr. Schoenberg has been named repeatedly as a New York Metro Super Lawyer, Rising Star and he holds an AV-Preeminent Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating.
