Mr. Kartez handles all manner of disputes spanning the commercial gamut, including matters involving contract claims, insurance coverage issues, real estate disputes, loans and guarantees, securities, shareholder actions, partnership dissolution, business torts, employment claims, and alternative dispute resolutions. Mr. Kartez defends professional liability and errors and omissions claims on behalf of attorneys, stockbrokers, broker-dealers, investment advisors, accountants, architects, engineers, directors, officers, insurance agents/brokers, and members of the real estate industry. Mr. Kartez regularly advises insurers, insureds, policyholders, and other parties in connection with complex insurance coverage issues and other insurance-related matters.
Mr. Kartez is a recognized leader in the alternative dispute resolution field, and was named as Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Section on June 1, 2021.
Mr. Kartez’s success and leadership in the alternative dispute resolution field has also resulted in his being invited to join the American Arbitration Association’s (AAA) prestigious Panel of Commercial Arbitrators, where he now serves as one of the youngest AAA arbitrators in the country.
