Faltischek recently closed on the acquisition of the assets of Middle Atlantic Wholesale Lumber (MAWL), a key regional supplier of lumber products, for the firm’s longtime client, Sherwood Lumber Corporation. Mr. Faltischek was assisted in this transaction by the firm’s corporate and financial services teams, including attorneys Daniel L. McAuliffe and Alexandra C. Piscitello.
Mr. Faltischek successfully led Sherwood Lumber through early negotiations, due diligence and the pre-closing and post-closing transition. Mr. Faltischek and his team identified a number of complex issues and brought them to successful resolution by working closely with the client and Sherwood Lumber’s accounting and valuation experts, which resulted in a successful closing at the best possible purchase price for the client.
This strategic acquisition of Maryland-headquartered MAWL will provide Sherwood Lumber with an expanded geographic footprint throughout the east coast and enhanced service capabilities to enable the company to more efficiently serve its valued customers.
