RMF Attorney Rachel Morgenstern to Receive the Honorable Judith S. Kaye Commercial and Federal Litigation Award and Scholarship

Uniondale, NY – October 19, 2023 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., announced today that RMF associate, Rachel Morgenstern, has been selected as one of five female litigators to receive the Honorable Judith S. Kaye Commercial and Federal Litigation Award and Scholarship, which has been established by the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA). The goal of the Scholarship is to help increase the number of women prepared to serve as first chair in large commercial cases. NYSBA will honor Rachel’s achievements at an awards ceremony in the Ceremonial Courtroom of the Daniel P. Moynihan federal courthouse in Manhattan on November 16th, 2023.

Rachel Morgenstern is a member of the firm’s Trusts and Estates Litigation Department, Commercial Litigation Department, Employment Practice Group and the Insurance & Insurance Litigation Practice Group.

As a litigator, Ms. Morgenstern focuses her practice on estate litigation and complex commercial litigation. She has experience handling cases before federal and state courts in all phases of litigation, including discovery, court conferences, motion practice and oral argument. In her practice, Rachel has specific experience in cases involving estate disputes, employment practices liability, professional liability, cannabis litigation, shareholder disputes and breaches of contract. She also served as counsel to a New York State Supreme Court Justice in proceedings before the Commission on Judicial Conduct and obtained a dismissal of all charges after extensive briefing.

Prior to joining Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., Ms. Morgenstern was a member of the litigation practice group at a prominent Long Island law firm. She also previously served as the assistant law clerk to Hon. Barbara Jaffe of the New York County Supreme Court, where she drafted decisions and gained working knowledge of the manner and substance of judicial review. This experience informs her approach to legal writing and research. She is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association, Commercial and Federal Litigation Section.
