Uniondale, NY – May 26, 2026 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced that Partner Nicole E. Osborne presented the Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. Award for Outstanding Appellate Advocacy to a graduating law student at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.
Established in 2000, the award is presented annually to a graduating student who has demonstrated exceptional skill in appellate advocacy. Nicole E. Osborne, who received the honor herself in 2016, presented this year’s award to Marissa Tedeschi during a ceremony held on May 18, 2026.

Ms. Osborne is a Partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., where is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Health Law Departments. Ms. Osborne also serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Practice Group and is a member of the Employment, White Collar Crime and Investigations, and Crisis Management Practice Groups.
Ms. Osborne has experience in a variety of matters involving the employer-employee relationship, including wage and hour compliance and investigations, employment discrimination prevention, employee handbooks and trainings, administrative proceedings, disability accommodations and leave related issues. Ms. Osborne has defended claims in administrative and court proceedings relating to sexual harassment, age, race, and national origin discrimination, restrictive covenant violations, confidentiality violations, and trade secret theft for various clients, both large and small.
In addition to her labor and employment work, Ms. Osborne advises companies on a wide range of cybersecurity and data privacy matters, including data breaches, ransomware, business email compromise, and network intrusions, and works closely with internal teams and external experts to manage all stages of incident response from investigation through regulatory reporting.
Ms. Osborne also maintains a commercial litigation practice in federal and state courts, representing individuals and companies in a wide area of complex commercial litigation – including matters involving employer/employee disputes, trade secret misappropriation, business torts, breach of contract and shareholder disputes, professional liability (including claims related to Employment Practices Liability and Directors and Offices Insurance Policies), and Article 78 proceedings.
Ms. Osborne was recognized by Long Island Business News as an “Ones to Watch” honoree in 2019 and has been named a New York Metropolitan Area Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2021 through 2025. She is also included in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch™ in America for her work in Labor and Employment Law – Management.
Ms. Osborne serves as an Adjunct Professor at Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law, where she teaches courses on the Fundamentals of Cybersecurity Law. During law school, she was a Notes Editor of the Hofstra Law Review, an active competitor on Hofstra’s Moot Court Board, and a member of the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association.
Ms. Osborne is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, where she serves as Chair of the Cyber Law Committee, and is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association.
