RMF Attorney Jonathan C. Sullivan Honored By Long Island Business News As A “Leadership In Law” Award Honoree

Uniondale, NY –November 9, 2022 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. is pleased to announce that Partner, Jonathan Sullivan, has been selected by Long Island Business News (LIBN) as honoree of the 2022 Leadership in Law Awards. The award honors attorneys for their professional achievement and whose legal or business contributions lead to the success of their clients; service to the legal profession and improvement of the legal system through practice innovations, legal scholarship, advancing diversity within the profession, and maintaining and encouraging high standards of ethics; participation in professional associations; mentoring or serving as a role model; volunteer or pro bono public service; and civic or community involvement. This year’s honorees will be honored at an in-person event on November 17, 2022, at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

Jonathan is Co-Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department, one of the largest practice groups on Long Island dedicated exclusively to commercial litigation. He has substantial experience in both trial and appellate advocacy. He has represented clients in all manner of commercial cases including breach of contract actions, shareholder disputes, employment and civil rights claims, commercial real estate disputes, antitrust claims, unfair competition claims, and trademark and copyright claims. He also has considerable experience in municipal law matters including eminent domain proceedings and land use and zoning disputes. Jon works closely with the firm’s corporate and transactional attorneys on deal-related litigation and is often call upon to assess and manage high stakes litigation issues. Jon is also a member of the firm’s Environmental, Intellectual Property and Employment Practice Groups.

Jon attended Wesleyan University and St. John’s University School of Law. While attending St. John’s, Jon served as Associate Managing Editor of the St. John’s Law Review. Prior to attending St. John’s, Jon worked for a Long Island-based importer of agricultural products and traveled extensively throughout China.

Jon is a Board member and Treasurer for the Friends of Bailey Arboretum and is a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Village of Lattingtown. He has served as an adjunct professor of legal ethics at Molloy College in Rockville Centre and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.

Jon lives in Lattingtown with his wife, Melissa, and their three children.
