RMF Attorney David N. Milner Elected to Board of Directors for the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County

Uniondale, NY – May 16, 2023 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., announced today that Partner David N. Milner has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTC).

“Knowing David’s work ethic, drive and dedication, we are sure that he will succeed and advance the mission of the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County”, said Adam Silvers, Managing Partner, Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C.

HMTC is Long Island’s only Holocaust museum. It was founded in 1992 by a group of Holocaust survivors, clergy, and elected officials. HMTC showcases the history of the Holocaust and its lessons through education and community outreach. Its mission includes teaching about the dangers of antisemitism, intolerance, racism, bullying, and all other manifestations of bigotry. HMTC promotes resistance to prejudice and advocates respect for all. The organization regularly calls out acts of antisemitism and hate – making both national and local news.

HMTC provides Holocaust and upstander education to high school and middle school students from across Long Island. Tens of thousands of students and several hundred first responders including law enforcement and nursing students are impacted each year. Students hear live survivor testimony and tour the exhibits. HMTC also trains teachers and hosts programs for the general public, both in person and virtual.

HMTC’s exhibit space is made up of six galleries that include artifacts and images from survivors who settled on Long Island. You’ll find multimedia displays, photographs, artifacts, archival footage, and testimonies. It also looks at genocides that have happened in the years since 1945, asking visitors to think about the actions an individual can take to prevent the spread of hate. HMTC’s outdoor exhibit, the Children’s Memorial Garden, is dedicated to the 1.5 million children murdered in the Holocaust and in World War II.
