RMF Attorney Benjamin Weinstock Named “2021 Lawyer of the Year” For Real Estate Law in Long Island

Uniondale, N.Y. August 26, 2020 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., announced today that Partner, Benjamin Weinstock was recognized by Best Lawyers as the 2021 Lawyer of the Year for Real Estate Law in Long Island.

Only one lawyer is recognized as the “Lawyer of the Year” for each specialty and location. Mr. Weinstock received the most votes for Real Estate Law in Long Island for the 2021 rankings. Additional recognitions are also awarded to individual lawyers with the highest overall peer-feedback for a specific practice area and geographic region.

Since 2008, Mr. Weinstock has been selected as one of New York Area’s Best Lawyers in Real Estate. Mr. Weinstock is chairman emeritus of Ruskin Moscou Faltischek’s Real Estate Department. He has more than 40 years’ experience in the sale, purchase, financing and leasing of all types of commercial real estate, and represents clients in complex finance transactions, lease-backs, Section 1031 tax deferred exchanges and title insurance claims.

Mr. Weinstock is a past Chairman of the New York State Bar Association’s Real Property Law Section, and currently serves on its Executive Committee, and on the Committees on Title and Transfer and Commercial Leasing.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, which is a peer selected organization of real estate lawyers who have established themselves as experts in the field, who observe the highest standards of ethical conduct and who have made significant contributions to enhance real estate law and its practice. Mr. Weinstock is a frequent lecturer on real property law matters, having chaired many educational programs for the New York State Bar Association and is an adjunct professor of law at Brooklyn Law School.

Mr. Weinstock has also served in Village Government for 27 years, and is currently the Mayor of the Incorporated Village of Cedarhurst, where he resides.
