Uniondale, Long Island, New York, March 2, 2011 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced today that litigation associate Thomas A. Telesca has been named an adjunct professor at the Molloy College campus in Rockville Centre, New York. In that capacity, he will teach a weekly introductory civil litigation course that is being offered through the school’s Criminal Justice Department as part of a legal studies minor and paralegal certificate program. The first class was held on January 25, 2011 and will continue through the spring semester.
The course’s primary goals are to advance understanding of state versus federal judicial systems; fact gathering, investigation, case evaluation and strategy; legal research and briefing; pleadings and motion practice; legal ethics; the nature of discovery and evidentiary rules; dispositive motions; and the trial and appeals process.
Telesca, a resident of Bay Shore, focuses his law practice on general commercial litigation as well as construction and real estate-related matters. He is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey as well as numerous federal courts, including the United States Court of International Trade. He is a member of the Commercial Litigation Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, the Commercial and Corporate Law Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association, and the International Environmental Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
