Attorney Douglas M. Nadjari Elected to Board of Long Island Coalition for the Homeless

Uniondale, Long Island, New York, May 29, 2012 – Douglas M. Nadjari, a partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, has been elected to the Board of the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless (LICH).

LICH’s mission is “to eliminate homelessness on Long Island and improve the lives of Long Islanders who are homeless or facing homelessness.”  In 2011, LICH coordinated the process of providing permanent housing for approximately 2,700 Long Islanders and providing temporary housing and assistance for over 20,000 Long Islanders.  Originally founded as the Nassau-Suffolk Partnership for the Homeless in 1985, the purpose of LICH has expanded to include the coordination of homeless services provided by more than 125 agencies through the development of the Continuum of Care groups in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Mr. Nadjari, a resident of Port Washington, is a partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, where he is a member of Health Law Regulatory, Litigation and White-Collar Crime & Investigations Practice Groups.  Mr. Nadjari’s work primarily involves matters of physician discipline, hospital staff proceedings, managed care disputes as well as the defense of physicians and corporations in criminal, administrative and commercial disputes.
