Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. Secures Major Victory in Medical Staff Hearing

Uniondale, NY – March 13, 2026 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. recently secured a significant victory on behalf of an accomplished surgeon at a major New York metropolitan area hospital after the hospital abruptly restricted the physician’s surgical privileges and threatened a report to the National Practitioner Data Bank, a potentially career-ending action.

The RMF team, led by Partners Douglas Nadjari and David Durso and Associate Liam Bradley, challenged the hospital’s action and presented a strong defense through a lengthy and complex medical staff hearing process. Medical staff hearings present unique challenges, as the hearing committee is selected by the hospital and the physician carries a substantial burden of proof.

Following the hearing, the committee unanimously rejected the hospital’s action. After a lengthy appeals process, the hospital’s Board of Trustees ratified the committee’s decision last week, bringing the matter to a close.

Ruskin Moscou Faltischek is grateful for the trust placed in its team and remains committed to protecting the professional reputations and livelihoods of its physician clients.
