Thomas Telesca Elected Treasurer of Riverhead Foundation Board of Directors

Uniondale, Long Island, New York, April 23, 2014 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced today that Thomas Telesca has been elected Treasurer of the Board of Directors of The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research & Preservation. Mr. Telesca has served as a board member since February 2011.

Mr. Telesca is a senior associate at the firm and member of the Litigation Department and International Practice Group. Mr. Telesca has extensive experience in a wide range of commercial litigation, including corporate dissolutions, shareholder and partnership disputes, antitrust or unfair business practices, trademark and patent infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, enforcement of restrictive covenants, RICO actions, securities litigation, construction and real estate related matters, contract disputes, and Article 78 proceedings against municipalities and corporations.  Mr. Telesca has also prosecuted civil rights claims against municipalities and private entities.

The Riverhead Foundation, New York State’s only marine mammal and sea turtle rescue program, serves to preserve and protect our marine environment through rescue and rehabilitation, research and education. The Riverhead Foundation rescues and rehabilitates dolphins, porpoises, seals, sea turtles and whales, responding to approximately 250 animals each year. Their team has the distinction of being the only group authorized inNew Yorkto respond to stranded sea turtles and marine mammals. With education at the core of its goals, the Foundation offers an array of informative preservation programs to the public.
