The RMF Foundation Establishes Fund to Aid Victims of Hurricane Katrina

Uniondale, Long Island, New York, September 2, 2005 – The RMF Foundation, a charitable organization founded by Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. in 1998, announced today that it has set up a fund to direct contributions from firm employees to those whose lives have been devastated in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Employees will have the opportunity to make donations in amounts of their choosing; to make the fundraising effort even more substantial and meaningful, the RMF Foundation will be offering an “employee match,” in which it will contribute an amount equal to the total employee contribution. Thus, every donation will be maximized and have the greatest impact possible. All funds collected will be earmarked specifically for disaster relief related to Katrina.

“Many of our employees expressed a desire to assist the victims of this catastrophe; we felt the RMF Foundation was the best way to get needed funds into the region as quickly as possible,” said Co-Managing Partner Douglas A. Cooper. “We join so many others in trying to help hoping that, together, these efforts will provide some comfort.”

The RMF Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, was established to support a wide range of charitable endeavors. To date, the Foundation has contributed to scores of charitable and philanthropic organizations throughout the country.
