Attended by noted and informed community and business leaders, on the day before election day, the timely breakfast was an opportunity for key elected officials across all branches of government to address salient issues affecting the Jewish Community both locally, nationally and internationally.
Agudath Israel is an umbrella organization that sponsors a broad range of projects in the fields of religion, education, children’s welfare and social action affecting the lives of young and old throughout the Americas and overseas.
Benjamin Weinstock, Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department and Chair of the NYSBA Real Property Section, introduced featured speaker Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and offered remarks about the religious freedom, rights and liberties afforded to all in the United States throughout our history as a nation.
Other speakers at the breakfast included former CIA Director James Woolsey, whose keynote address covered security issues in the Middle East, and New York State Superintendent of Financial Services Benjamin Lawsky, who spoke about New York State’s enforcement of Iran sanctions. Mr. Lawsky was introduced by Radni Davoodi, Founder of the Atlantis Organization, a title insurance company, who, as a young boy, fledIranwith his family. Davoodi, recently accomplished a landmark achievement in the real estate industry.
