Ruskin Moscou Faltischek Partner Alexander G. Bateman Named Chair of United Way of Long Island’s Board of Directors

Uniondale, NY – February 1, 2019 – Alexander G. Bateman, a partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., has been named to the position of Chair of the Board of Directors, for the United Way of Long Island.

Alex Bateman has served on the United Way of Long Island Board of Directors since 2011, most recently as Executive Committee Member. “It is with great pleasure, that after eight years of service, I can deepen my commitment with United Way of Long Island. For the thousands of individuals who benefit and receive services from this organization, the impact is so great and often life-changing. I look forward to working with my fellow Board members in 2019 to advance the great work at the United Way of Long Island,” said Alex Bateman.

Bateman is co-chair of Ruskin Moscou Faltischek’s Health Law Department and White Collar Crime and Investigations Practice Group.  Bateman’s work at the firm primarily involves representing individuals and companies in the areas of federal and state criminal and regulatory matters, including financial crimes, healthcare fraud, public corruption and professional disciplinary proceedings.  He is also called upon frequently to conduct internal corporate investigations and create compliance programs for healthcare companies.

Prior to joining the firm, Bateman was a trial attorney with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office where he investigated and prosecuted felony street crimes, organized crime, narcotics, sex crimes and political corruption.

A resident of Bayport, Alex Bateman is a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law and the State University of New York at Albany.
