Ruskin Moscou Faltischek Names Adam P. Silvers Managing Partner

Uniondale, New York, January 5, 2015 – The partners of the law firm Ruskin Moscou Faltischek P.C. are pleased to announce that Co-Managing Partner Adam P. Silvers has assumed the role of Managing Partner.  The move was part of a planned transition of the Managing Partner role from Mark Mulholland to Mr. Silvers, and was recommended by Mr. Mulholland to his partners back in March 2014.  The move allows Mr. Mulholland, a Senior Member of the law firm’s Litigation Department, to devote his full attention to growing his commercial litigation practice. Mr. Silvers will continue to be an active member of the firm’s Corporate and Securities Department.

Mr. Silvers has also served on the Management Advisory Council at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek since 2009, and has served as Co-Chair of the law firm’s Corporate & Securities Department.

Mr. Silvers, a resident of Commack, Long Island joined Ruskin Moscou Faltischek is 1998.  Prior to joining the law firm Mr. Silvers served as in-house counsel for a high tech corporation.  His long record of accomplishments as a sophisticated corporate and securities attorney quickly resulted in his being named a partner of the law firm in 2003.  He is one of the youngest associates ever named as a partner with the firm.  Mr. Silvers regularly counsels both private and publicly-traded companies on a wide variety of legal issues.  Over his career, he has successfully handled a wide range of complex transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements and venture financing, joint venture and partnership agreements as well as licensing and development agreements, among other areas.

In addition to his accomplishments as a lawyer, Mr. Silvers is also well known for his passion for charitable and philanthropic endeavors.  He has been actively involved with Child Abuse Prevention Services, a Roslyn- based not-for-profit organization, helping to direct their planning and fundraising efforts on behalf of Long Island’s at-risk children.  Mr. Silvers is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, and has lectured before the Suffolk County Bar Association.  He has been a frequent lecturer at a number of CLE programs on topics ranging from corporate governance, executive compensation, securities matters as well intellectual property and software licensing issues.  He has also written a number of articles on various corporate and securities issues.
