Uniondale, New York, February 24, 2014 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek Managing Partner Mark Mulholland has announced that firm partner Adam Silvers will assume the role of Co-Managing Partner beginning March 1, 2014. The move is part of a planned transition of the Managing Partner role to Silvers, which will allow Mulholland to devote more attention to his growing commercial litigation practice.
“Our Litigation Department has long been the largest practice group on Long Island dedicated exclusively to commercial litigation,” Mulholland stated. “We’ve had unprecedented growth and are seeing new opportunities daily. As a senior member of the Litigation Department, I can add more value in this critical practice area by sharing my Managing Partner responsibilities with Adam, who has proven to be a strong firm asset.”
Mulholland recommended the succession move to his partners and intends to turn over the management responsibility to Silvers entirely at a future date. Silvers and the other partners at Ruskin Moscou are in full support of the decision, according to Mulholland.
“Well-organized, well-implemented succession planning is central to the success of any organization,” he concluded. “Announcing shared Managing Partner responsibilities at this time helps ensure a smooth transition of the Managing Partner responsibilities to Adam, which benefits our clients as well as everyone at Ruskin Moscou.”
Silvers has served on the Management Advisory Council at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek since 2009. He is also Co-Chair of the Corporate & Securities Department, where he will remain an active member. “I am honored that Mark and my fellow partners have named me Co-Managing Partner,” he said. “I look forward to assisting with the firm’s day-to-day management while striving to promote the highest professional standards throughout the entire organization.”
