RMF Partner Alexander G. Bateman, Presents Program to the Members of the Suffolk County Medical Society

Uniondale, Long Island, New York, May 24, 2016 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced today that partner Alexander G. Bateman, co-Chair of the firm’s Health Law Department and Chair of its White Collar Criminal and Investigations Practice Group, recently presented a program to the members of The Suffolk County Medical Society, entitled Navigating the Regulatory Landscape – What Physicians Need to Know.

The program addressed the extensive legal oversight that physicians encounter from a myriad state and federal agencies that affect their ability to practice medicine.  Mr. Bateman emphasized the need for physicians to protect their due process rights, and seek counsel knowledgeable in Health Law, early on, if they find themselves facing a problem with a government agency.  Mr. Bateman will be presenting the program again on June 7 to the members of the Nassau County Medical Society.

Mr. Bateman’s work primarily involves representing health care professionals and companies in the areas of federal and state criminal and regulatory matters such as Medicare/Medicaid fraud and professional disciplinary proceedings. He is active in developing and implementing corporate compliance programs for hospitals and other health care providers and in white collar criminal defense including government funded and private insurance fraud and abuse cases.
