Ruskin Moscou Faltischek Welcomes Attorneys from Levy, Stopol & Camelo, LLP. Trio adds to Corporate and Securities, Litigation, Digital Media and IP Practices

Uniondale, NY, December 9, 2022 — Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., has announced the addition of three experienced attorneys from Levy, Stopol & Camelo, LLP. to the firm.  Larry Stopol and Dianne Camelo have joined as partners in the Corporate and Securities Department while Paul Juergensen has joined as Of Counsel in the Litigation Department, as well as the Intellectual Property and Digital Media practice groups.  Loretta Camelo, an experienced paralegal, has also joined the firm.

Larry Stopol, who was managing member of his previous firm, has enjoyed a long-term role as outside General Counsel to NASDAQ-listed Voxx International Corporation and to Atalanta Corporation and the Gellert Global Group, one of the largest private food importing businesses in the U.S., with annual sales in excess of $1 billion.  Dianne Camelo, a member at her previous firm, has also served in a long time role as outside General Counsel to WellLife Network Inc., a not-for-profit and leading provider in the metropolitan New York area of residential, clinical, and other services to people who are developmentally or psychiatrically disabled, or have substance use disorder. She is also Associate General Counsel for Voxx. Paul Juergensen, Of Counsel at his former firm, often appears before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board.

“We are exceedingly pleased to welcome Larry, Dianne, Paul and Loretta to the firm,” said Adam Silvers, RMF Managing Partner. “Our relationship spans more than 20 years, so we are more than familiar with their type of practice. We share a similar culture and their practice areas complement ours. It is a relatively easy transition.”

“We want to continue to grow locally,” Silvers continued. “RMF has the largest and strongest Corporate and Securities practice on the Island.  No other firm has the breadth, depth, size, and resources that we do.  Adding attorneys who have the reputation and level of experience that Larry and Dianne bring to our Corporate practice is significant to the practice as well as to our overall growth strategy.”

In his work as General Counsel, Larry Stopol has led many acquisitions, negotiated agreements with lenders, suppliers, and customers, supervised business portfolios, and litigated a number of significant matters.  He has also represented other clients buying and selling commercial businesses and properties and arranging sophisticated financing.  A longtime resident of Rockville Centre, Stopol was formally a two term President at a local country club and was named one of the top 12 private country club presidents in the U.S. by Boardroom Magazine.   He earned his law degree at Brooklyn Law School and is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.

In addition to her busy law practice, where she handles real estate acquisitions and financing, securities filings, and labor and employment matters, Dianne Camelo has a long history of civic involvement. She has been the mayor of her hometown of Oradell, NJ. (as Dianne Camelo Didio) for 11 years and currently serves as President of the Bergen County League of Municipalities, an organization of 70 mayors from the county.  She also serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Bergen County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund.  She earned her JD from Fordham University School of Law.

Paul Juergensen has 30 years of intellectual property experience, including as a paralegal, and subsequently as a litigator in the prosecution and defense of actions for trademark infringement, anti-counterfeiting, trade dress, copyright, patent infringement, and unfair competition in courts throughout the country.  While completing his law degree in the evening program at Touro Law, where he was a three-time recipient of the CALI award for excellence, Juergensen worked as a paralegal.  He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, and to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey. He lives in North Babylon, N.Y.

Loretta Camelo has worked with the team for 21 years. She started as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant and obtained her Paralegal Certificate with Distinction from Nassau Community College in 2019.  She lives in Wantagh, N.Y.
