Ruskin Moscou Faltischek Partner Michael S. Amato Elected President of the Turnaround Management Association – Long Island Chapter

Uniondale, New York, January 24, 2014 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced today that Michael S. Amato, a partner in the firm’s Financial Services, Banking & Bankruptcy Department and Business Reorganization Practice Group has been elected President of the Turnaround Management Association – Long Island Chapter.  The Turnaround Management Association, established in 1988, with more than 9,300 members in 49 chapters worldwide, is the only international non-profit association dedicated to corporate renewal and turnaround management.

TMA members are a professional community of turnaround and corporate renewal professionals who share a common interest in strengthening the economy through the restoration of corporate value.

Mr. Amato’s practice is focused on debtor and creditor rights, business reorganizations and bankruptcy litigation. Mr. Amato regularly represents both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy matters, and advises clients in negotiating, structuring and drafting Chapter 11 plans and debtor-in-possession financing agreements. Mr. Amato, a resident of Stony Brook, is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and is currently Co-Chair of its Bankruptcy and Insolvency Committee.
