Uniondale, Long Island, New York, June 2, 2009 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced today that law students Jeffrey Scott and Joseph Shanahan have joined the firm as summer associates. Through its Summer Associate Program, Ruskin Moscou Faltischek focuses on attracting outstanding law students from top-tier law schools in the region.
The Summer Associate Program is an integral part of the firm’s recruiting effort and a foundation for hiring new associates. It provides each participant an opportunity to work on matters in a range of practice groups in order to maximize their exposure to the various types of law.
Scott, a resident of Syosset, New York, recently completed his second year of law school at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, where he was selected to become a member of Cardozo’s Bets Tzedek Clinic. Scott interned with Honorable John Pessala at the Nassau County Family Court. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, magna cum laude, at Binghamton University.
Joseph Shanahan, a resident of Yonkers, New York, just finished his second year of law school at Hofstra University School of Law, where he was appointed an Associate Editor of the Law Review. He interned with Honorable E. Thomas Boyle at the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York. Shanahan received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Boston College and his Master of Arts in Social Studies Education at CUNY, Lehman College.
