RMF Attorney Sheryl P. Giugliano Reappointed To Serve Three Year Term In New York City Bar Bankruptcy & Corporate Reorganization Committee

Uniondale, NY – September 11, 2023 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., announced today that Partner, Sheryl P. Giugliano, has been reappointed to serve a three-year term in the New York City Bar Bankruptcy & Corporate Reorganization Committee beginning August 01, 2023, and ending July 31, 2026 (Class of 2026). Ms. Giugliano has been a member of the New York City Bar Association Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization Committee since 2016 and has also served as a member and co-chair of various subcommittees on the Bankruptcy & Corporate Reorganization Committee.

The Committee on Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization focuses on issues relevant to corporate and individual bankruptcies and corporate out-of-court restructurings. Committee members include lawyers who specialize in representing debtors and creditors in restructurings involving large companies and lawyers who focus on bankruptcy cases for individuals as well as bankruptcy judges and other government representatives, scholars and financial advisors that work in these areas, all of whom help to provide additional and different perspectives to the topics addressed by the Committee. Committee members have the opportunity to be involved in drafting reports, commenting and testifying on legislation, submitting briefs, sponsoring continuing legal education and other programs and participating in public service projects.

Ms. Giugliano works with companies facing solvency issues to identify a solution and implement a strategic response, which includes negotiating with interested parties, creditors, and shareholders, and may also include filing for bankruptcy protection, or facilitating an out-of-court wind down. Ms. Giugliano represents middle-market companies facing operational or litigation issues, guiding them through the Chapter 11 or Chapter 7, including trustees, receivers, debtors, and secured and unsecured creditors.
