RMF Attorney Sheryl P. Giugliano Panelist at NYSBA 2024 Annual Meeting – Bankruptcy Basics for Commercial Litigators Panel

Uniondale, N.Y. – December 14, 2023 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced today that RMF Partner, Sheryl P. Giugliano will be a panelist on the New York State Bar Association’s (NYSBA) “Bankruptcy Basics for Commercial Litigators” panel, as part of the New York State Bar Association’s 2024 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Along with Ms. Giugliano, panelists will include Judge Jil Mazer-Marino, US Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York, Alan Brody, Greenberg Traurig, LLP, and Fred Stevens, Klestadt Winters Jureller Southard & Stevens, LLP. The panel will discuss the basics of bankruptcy that every commercial litigator should know, what it means for the case, and the options available in case where a party declares bankruptcy during litigation. Ms. Giugliano and Mr. Brody are Co-Chairs of the Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Litigation Committee of the Commercial & Federal Litigation Section of the NSYBA.

Ms. Giugliano is a Co-Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Litigation Committee, a Co-Chair of the Confirmation Issues Subcommittee and member of the Voidable Transactions Subcommittee of the New York City Bar Association’s Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization Committee, a member of American Bankruptcy Institute, Chair of the Chapter 11 Lawyers Advisory Committee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York and is Co-President of the Women’s Division for the New York Institute of Credit. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Turnaround Management Association, Long Island Chapter, and is a Fellow on the New York Bar Foundation.   Ms. Giugliano also serves as an Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University School of Law.
