RMF Attorney Sheryl Giugliano Named Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University School of Law

Uniondale, NY – October 12, 2022 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., announced today that Sheryl Giugliano, Partner, has been named an Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University School of Law in Jamaica, New York. In that capacity, Ms. Giugliano will co-teach a course titled “Introduction to Bankruptcy Practice: Case Analysis” during the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters.

As an Adjunct Professor, Ms. Giugliano supervises a two-semester legal writing program for members of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review.  During the Fall semester, students research and write a brief summary and analysis of a recent cutting-edge bankruptcy decision that is then published to the American Bankruptcy Institute Bankruptcy Case Blog.  During the Spring semester, students write a comprehensive office memorandum, which analyzes the legal issues presented in the student’s assigned case.

Ms. Giugliano is a member of the firm’s Corporate Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice Group, the Litigation Department, and the Corporate and Securities Department. Her experience includes restructuring, bankruptcy, and litigation. Ms. Giugliano works with companies facing solvency issues to identify a solution and implement a strategic response, which includes negotiating with interested parties, creditors, and shareholders, and may also include filing for bankruptcy protection, or facilitating an out-of-court process.

As a member of the Corporate & Securities Department, Ms. Giugliano represents both early stage and middle market businesses on a variety of financial and other legal issues, including mergers and acquisitions, financings and other complex business transactions and agreements. Ms. Giugliano also advises clients with respect to corporate governance issues and related matters.

Ms. Giugliano’s litigation experience includes representing parties in bankruptcy litigation and general commercial matters. She has represented parties engaged in contract disputes in state and federal court, as well as arbitration matters before AAA and JAMS, and mediation, and successfully and efficiently represents clients to achieve the optimal outcome.
