RMF Attorney Elizabeth S. Sy Presents at Virtual Event “How to Have a Successful Summer at Touro Law Center

Uniondale, NY – May 24, 2021 –Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., announced today that Associate, Elizabeth S. Sy was a panelist for a virtual event titled “How to Have a Successful Summer” on Friday, May 21, 2021, along with David Wright and Rebecca Paredes. The event was hosted by Touro Law Center.

The panelist shared their insights and experiences with students at Touro Law Center to best prepare them for their summer associate positions. They discussed handling assignments, professionalism, dealing with challenges and networking. Ms. Sy was a summer associate at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. during summer of 2016.

Ms. Sy is a member of the Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C.’s Litigation Department. Ms. Sy’s practice focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation, including matters involving franchisor/franchisee disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, unfair business practices, trademark and copyright infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, real estate disputes, breach of contract, and Article 78 proceedings against municipalities and corporations.

A portion of Ms. Sy’s practice also involves insurance-related matters, with an emphasis on defending professional liability claims against attorneys. Ms. Sy advises insurers, insureds, policyholders and other parties with regard to insurance coverage claims and defenses. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Legal Intern at the Law Center’s Advanced Bankruptcy clinic, where she guided individuals from the petition to the hearing stages of Chapter 7 and 13 proceedings.

Ms. Sy serves on the Young Professionals Committee and as a mentor for Hope For Youth, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to facilitating positive changes in the lives of children. Ms. Sy is also a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
