RMF Attorney Elizabeth S. Sy Named to Hope for Youth Board of Directors

Uniondale, NY – July 7, 2021 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., announced today that Associate Elizabeth S. Sy has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Hope For Youth, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to facilitating positive changes in the lives of children. The organization provides stable, nurturing, residential care, foster care, preventive and out-patient programs which educate, motivate and empower individuals to become self-sufficient and achieve their full potential. Ms. Sy joined the organization as a volunteer in 2018.

Ms. Sy is a member of the Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C.’s Litigation Department. Her practice focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation, including matters involving franchisor/franchisee disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, unfair business practices, trademark and copyright infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, real estate disputes, breach of contract, and Article 78 proceedings against municipalities and corporations.

Ms. Sy’s practice also involves insurance-related matters, with an emphasis on defending professional liability claims against attorneys. She advises insurers, insureds, policyholders and other parties with regard to insurance coverage claims and defenses. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sy was a Legal Intern at the Law Center’s Advanced Bankruptcy Clinic, where she guided individuals from the petition to the hearing stages of Chapter 7 and 13 proceedings. She is also a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
