Uniondale, Long Island, New York, June 22, 2016 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek P.C. announced today that Partner E. Christopher Murray, a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, and chair of the firm’s Environmental and Land Use Practice Group, was elected President of the Nassau County Mental Health Association.
The Nassau County Mental Health Association was founded in 1953, and is an advocate for the needs of adults and children with psychiatric and emotional difficulties. The MHA is a not-for-profit agency with an annual budget of approximately $12 million. The agency runs a variety of programs including behavioral health care coordination; vet to vet support groups; a newly opened respite house; as well as community residences and homes for children and adults with autism.
E. Christopher Murray has over twenty-five years of experience in all aspects of complex commercial, environmental, insurance, employment, civil rights and trademark litigation. His practice includes jury and non-jury trials in federal and state court, as well as arbitration proceedings and administrative hearings. Mr. Murray is a past President of the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce, the umbrella organization for over forty local chambers of commerce in Nassau County, representing more than 6,000 small businesses. He also serves on the Board of a number of charities and not-for-profit organizations including Literacy Nassau and the Autism Legal Foundation.
