BETHPAGE, NY — December 7, 2017 — Douglas M. Nadjari, a partner at Uniondale, NY-based Ruskin Moscou Falitschek P.C., has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of Island Harvest Food Bank, according to Randi Shubin Dresner, president, and CEO of the Long Island-based hunger-relief organization.
Mr. Nadjari, a resident of Sea Cliff, joined the firm in 2011 and is a member of its Health Law Regulatory, White-Collar Crime Defense and Litigation Departments. He joined Island Harvest Food Bank’s Board of Directors in 2013 and served on several committees including the Insurance and Governance Committees.
“Douglas is a highly-respected leader on Long Island with a stellar reputation as a consensus builder, qualities which he has continually demonstrated during his tenure on our board of directors,” said Shubin Dresner. “His proven record of achievement, coupled with an unwavering dedication to our core mission of ending hunger on Long Island, made him the ideal choice among his peers to lead the organization in helping improve the lives of our Long Island neighbors struggling with hunger and poverty.”
Mr. Nadjari is a 1980 graduate of Tulane University College of Arts and Sciences, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in, and he earned his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University Law School in 1983. He serves as chairman of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Health Law Committee Mr. Nadjari is also a member of the Tulane Law School’s “Boot Camp” faculty, and Molloy College’s Energeia Partnership.
