Uniondale, Long Island, New York, January 18, 2007 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced today the appointment of Douglas A. Cooper, co-managing partner of the firm and a senior member of the Litigation department, to the Board of Directors of The WILD Foundation.
The WILD Foundation is an international, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in the United States and based in Boulder, Colorado. For nearly three decades, WILD has worked around the world to protect highly threatened wilderness areas and wildlife. The organization’s accomplishments include protecting wild lands, saving endangered ildlife, empowering disadvantaged youth, and generating high-impact policies.
The appointment spans a three-year term. Cooper, a resident of Rye, New York, joins a prestigious group of business and industry leaders for whom cultural heritage and environmental conservation are of vital concern.

Cooper has been involved in civic and philanthropic matters for many years. He is a past President of the Thomas Paine National Historical Association and past Chairman of the New Rochelle Environmental Conservation Advisory Commission, which developed the Long Island Sound Master Plan. He served as Chairman of the New Rochelle Public Library Foundation and is also one of twelve members of the Board of Advisors of the Center for Crisis Public Relations and Litigation Studies at Lehigh University. In 2005, he was named to the board of trustees of The Nature Conservancy, Long Island Chapter, a global non-profit organization instrumental in protecting and preserving 117 million acres worldwide.
