RMF Summer associates are an integral part of the firm’s recruiting effort. Nearly all summer associates are rising third-year law students and, following graduation, many are hired as first year associates. The firm is committed to diversity in all aspects of its hiring. In addition, summer associate candidates should have strong academic records and display the ability to communicate on a professional level, both verbally and in writing.
Summer associates have a unique opportunity to work on projects across a wide spectrum of practice areas with many different lawyers who offer diverse professional personalities and styles. By the end of the summer, most of our “summers” truly know what life is like here and what is expected of our new lawyers. We try to weave our summer associates into the fabric of the firm so that they get a real flavor for its work ethic and positive quality of life philosophy.
Our summer associate classes are small and typically consists of two or three rising third-year law students. All are invited to attend various firm sponsored social events and other opportunities to build relationships with lawyers and staff alike.
