Marketing Assistant

Overview

Premier Long Island law firm, Ruskin Moscou Fatlischek, P.C., seeks a proactive, creative, and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to support its Marketing Director and assist in delivering a wide range of marketing initiatives across 70+ attorneys, 6 core departments, and 26 diverse practice areas. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our strategic marketing efforts. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assist attorneys with day-to-day marketing needs, handling internal requests, gathering information, and tracking project timelines
  • Develop and manage a strategic and organized social media calendar that resonates with target audiences and stakeholders
  • Create high quality, engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written posts for social media and web, using Canva and branded templates
  • Draft and edit compelling press releases, client alerts, social posts, and internal announcements related to attorney awards, firm recognitions, major deals, and milestones
  • Manage the firm’s LinkedIn presence, including content creation, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, compiling analytics, and optimizing strategy based on performance data
  • Draft and implement updates to website content, including attorney bios, practice pages, blog posts, news items, and internal announcements
  • Manage the firm’s contact databases and coordinate the distribution of eblasts, newsletters, and alerts using email marketing templates and tools
  • Support the creation of business development materials such as proposals, pitch decks, and PowerPoint presentations using firm approved templates
  • Maintain internal marketing databases to track attorney memberships, recognitions, and affiliations for bios and firm-wide initiatives
  • Plan and support firm hosted and external events, including CLEs, webinars, conferences, trade shows, and networking events, from concept and logistics to follow up
  • Coordinate logistics for firm sponsorships, including ad design, seat tracking, logo submission, and communication with event organizers
  • Analyze marketing and website data, including SEO performance, and work with the firm’s external web host to ensure accuracy and visibility
  • Help maintain the firm’s marketing budget and assist in preparing regular reports and status updates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in a marketing or communications role; professional services or law firm experience preferred
  • Proficient in Canva, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), WordPress, email distribution platforms (such as OpenMoves, Constant Contact, and Mailchimp), and LinkedIn
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and a working understanding of SEO best practices
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A team player with a professional demeanor and the ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, colleagues, and vendors
  • Must be available to support early morning or after hours events, both on site at RMF and off site, as needed (eligible for overtime)

Target Hiring Range: $60,000 – $70,000. Actual compensation will be determined by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, experience, education/training, and relevant skills.
