Premier Long Island law firm, Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., is seeking a Legal Assistant to join its dynamic Litigation and Health Law departments. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with at least two years of Law Firm experience.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, health law or related legal services
Strong understanding of legal procedures, terminology and formatting various legal documents
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to grammar, spelling and punctuation
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently and collaboratively
Familiarity with employment or commercial litigation is preferred
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized administrative support to multiple attorneys in the Litigation and Health Law departments
Draft, transcribe, scan and electronically distribute legal documents
Prepare and file court documents, including traditional and electronic filings
Proofread work to ensure accuracy and consistency
Maintain attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, and schedule appointments such as depositions and mediations
Handle incoming calls and greet clients and visitors professionally
Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date physical and digital files
Assist with overflow work and provide support across department as needed
Accurately enter and track attorney billable time
Perform blacklining, document formatting, and scanning

Target Hiring Range: $65,000 – $85,000. Actual compensation will be determined by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, experience, education/training, and relevant skills.
