Benjamin Weinstock has been Named Achiezer’s Man of the Year

Uniondale, Long Island, New York, February 29, 2016 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced today that partner Benjamin Weinstock, co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department, was selected as Achiezer’s Man Of The Year.

Benjamin Weinstock has spent the better part of the last 25 years involved in municipal affairs. As Mayor of the Village of Cedarhurst, he oversees the Village’s financial and other resources and provides a wide range of municipal services.  Yet, no task is too small for the Mayor.  He keeps his finger on the pulse of the community’s day-to-day challenges, and often collaborates with Achiezer.  As the Mayor stated, “Achiezer is the organization of first resort, last resort, and picks up the slack in the middle for so many people in the Five Towns community.  I’ve always supported everything that Achiezer does.  It’s an organization that our community is lucky to have in its midst.”

Achiezer was established in 2009 at the behest of local rabbinic and community leaders who saw a need for change. These visionaries dreamed of creating one master organization that would help remove the burden of crisis management from the shoulders of shocked and distressed victims. They dreamed of an organization that would be there for the entire community—at any time, for any difficulty, large or small. Achiezer is a unique and elastic organization that combines the strengths of all existing communal resources along with its own formidable capabilities and coordinates many different services and agencies involved in assisting individuals and families confronted by challenges.

In addition to his duties as Mayor, Mr. Weinstock is co-chair of the real estate department at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek in Uniondale.  In a career spanning three decades, Mr. Weinstock has handled real estate transactions from the basic to the highly complex. His knowledge and skill place him among the most respected and sought-after real estate lawyers in the region. In recognition of his knowledge and contributions to the real estate industry, Governor Pataki named Mr. Weinstock to the prestigious New York State Real Estate Board, where he was elected Secretary, serving for seven terms.  He is also the past Chair of the New York State Bar  Association’s Real Property Law Section and he is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School.
