Tara E. Mahon is an Associate at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., where she is a member of the firm’s Trusts & Estates Department and the Estate, Trust And Fiduciary Litigation Practice Group.
Tara’s practice focuses on estate planning, estate administration, and all aspects of Surrogate’s Court matters, including accounting, probate, administration and miscellaneous proceedings, and the preparation of federal and state estate tax returns.
Tara represents clients in estate, trust and fiduciary litigation, including probate contests, accounting proceedings, discovery and turnover proceedings, will and trust construction proceedings, and other complex disputes. In addition, Tara has handled SCPA Article 17 and 17-A guardianship proceedings, and adoption proceedings. Tara is qualified to serve as Guardian ad Litem in Surrogate’s Court.
Tara is admitted to practice law in New York, Florida and Connecticut. She is also admitted to practice in the United States Federal Courts in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
She is an active member of the New York State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Law Section, the Estate Planning Council of New York City, and a member of the Real Property and Trust Law Section of the Florida State Bar Association.
Tara was a judicial intern for Honorable Rita Mella, Surrogate of New York County, and Honorable Margaret C. Reilly, Surrogate of Nassau County.
