Jennifer L. Hartmann’s practice focuses on commercial litigation in federal and state courts. She has substantial experience representing individuals and companies in a wide variety of complex commercial litigation – including matters involving business torts, trade secret misappropriation, RICO and various breach of contract and shareholder disputes – as well as in complex bankruptcy litigation. Jennifer also has experience representing individuals and corporations in various arbitral forums such as the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), as well as in investigations initiated by the Securities and Exchange Commission and FINRA.

She also has experience in the intellectual property field and represents and advises clients in connection with trademark, copyright, licensing, privacy, domain name, unfair competition and trade secrecy issues. She advises clients regarding intellectual property matters and has experience drafting and negotiating agreements for intellectual property rights.

As an associate at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., she is a member of the Litigation Department.

Jennifer received her Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Lafayette College. While in law school, she acted as a student district attorney at the Office of the Queens District Attorney and was a member of St. John’s Journal of Legal Commentary. Prior to joining Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., she was an associate at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP in New York City, as well as at a litigation boutique in Garden City, New York.

An active member of New York City Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association, she was selected to be on the Committee of the Women’s Division of the Turnaround Management Association – New York City Chapter.

Jennifer is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the State of Connecticut, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of New York, and the District of Connecticut.
