Allison Castel is a Law Clerk at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C.

Allison received her Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. Allison was the recipient of the Legal Scholar Award, which is given to the highest-achieving applicants and provides a full academic merit scholarship for the duration of law school. She also received the Gold Public Service Award, which is conferred to students who devote more than 750 hours to public service during their law school education.

Allison was a Notes and Comments Editor on the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal where she edited and supervised students throughout the note drafting process. While in school, Allison participated in the Entrepreneurship and Intellectual Property Clinical Practicum where she provided transactional assistance to small businesses and start-up companies.

Prior to joining the firm, Allison was a legal intern for Judge Tomlinson in the Eastern District of New York where she focused primarily on class action certifications and Fair Labor Standards Act matters. She was also a legal intern at the NYPD Legal Bureau’s Licensing Division where she handled various criminal and constitutional law issues regarding the denial and appeal of gun license applications.
