Giugliano, has been appointed as a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of New York in Central Islip. This prestigious appointment was announced by Chief Judge Debra Ann Livingston of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Ms. Giugliano will be formally sworn in later this summer.

Ms. Giugliano is a valued partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. in the Banking & Bankruptcy, Corporate and Securities, Commercial Litigation, and Financial Services Departments. Ms. Giugliano is also a member of the Corporate Restructuring & Bankruptcy and Securities Disputes and Enforcement Practice Groups.
Ms. Giugliano has extensive practice experience in the areas of bankruptcy, restructuring, and litigation, representing clients in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 proceedings, preference and fraudulent conveyance actions, bankruptcy auctions, mergers and acquisitions, financings, and other complex business transactions and agreements. Prior to joining Ruskin Moscou Faltischek P.C., Ms. Giugliano was an associate and then partner at Diamond McCarthy LLP from 2015 to 2020, an associate at Silverman Acampora LLP from 2010 to 2015, and an associate at Weissman Abruzzo LLP from 2008 to 2010.
Ms. Giugliano has served as the co-chair of the EDNY Bankruptcy Local Rules Committee and a member of the SDNY Bankruptcy Local Rules Committee. She has also served as the chair of the EDNY Bankruptcy Chapter 11 Lawyers’ Advisory Committee, and the co-chair of the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Committee of the Federal and Commercial Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association. Ms. Giugliano also teaches as an adjunct professor at St. John’s University School of Law.
Ms. Giugliano holds an LLM in Bankruptcy from St. John’s University School of Law. She graduated from St. John’s University School of Law and the University of Michigan.
