Browser, a member of the firm’s Litigation, Financial Services, Banking & Bankruptcy Departments, and its Construction Practice Group, recently presented a program sponsored by the New York State Bar Association, entitled Debt Collections and the Enforcement of Money Judgments 2016, on Tuesday June 7th at the Melville Marriott.

The all-day seminar focused on the legal and practical considerations that attorneys must know in order to effectively enforce and collect upon money judgments in New York both in the commercial and consumer context. Topics included the procedural aspects of judgment enforcement, the impact of the Federal and New York State Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, problems areas involving different business organizations and the complex issues involved in enforcing judgments against a debtor’s interest in a business entity, the debtor’s perspective, and addressing client expectations.

Mr. Browser has extensive experience in civil and sophisticated commercial litigation, including trials and appeals, covering a wide variety of industries. Mr. Browser’s broad litigation experience includes disputes involving construction, real estate, contracts, partnerships, financial services, landlord-tenant, collections, insurance and title claims.
