Gregory J. Kowalsky’s practice focuses on commercial litigation in federal and state courts, and cybersecurity and data privacy. He has represented municipalities, companies, and individuals in a wide variety of complex commercial litigation, including matters involving securities litigation, professional malpractice, antitrust, Fair Labor Standards Act wage and hour claims, business torts, intellectual property law, civil rights violations, Article 78 proceedings, business dissolutions, and various breaches of contract and shareholder disputes. He has also represented individuals and corporations in arbitral forums such as FINRA, as well as in investigations initiated by the Department of Justice and FINRA.
Experienced in corporate governance, intellectual property, and data security, Gregory advises clients in connection with Security Exchange Commission disclosure obligations, breach notification and data protection regulations, and written information security policies. He has experience drafting breach notification letters and confidentiality agreements.
As an associate at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek P.C., he is a member of the Litigation Department.
Prior to joining Ruskin Moscou Faltischek P.C., Gregory was an associate at Landman, Corsi, Ballaine & Ford P.C. in New York City, as well as appellate counsel to a litigation practice in Garden City.
Gregory received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Hofstra University School of Law on a full academic scholarship, graduating cum laude. He received his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University, where he graduated cum laude. While in law school, he was a staff member of the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal, as well as the Moot Court Board. He was also actively involved in the Hofstra University School of Law, Securities Arbitration Clinic, and interned at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the State of New Jersey, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Gregory is also an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
